| Disconnect the vehicle's
battery as described in the Dension Ice>Link installation guide.
Remove the 4 retaining clips from the
driver's side. |
 |
| Locate the CD changer cable
and connectors. It is usually wrapped up and taped.
Feed it through the foam grommet. |
 |
| To access the foam grommet,
pull out the bottom of the rear seats. Just pull straight up on
the front of the bottom portion and the rear seats come right
out. Carefully remove the side seat
bolster by removing the top plastic cover and pulling the top
half of the bolster toward you. Slide the bolster up and out.
This will expose the foam grommet.
(The photos below show more details on
what kind of clips hold the bolster in).
Remove the grommet, feed the CD Changer
cable into the cabin and slip the cable into the grommet's slit.
Replace the grommet. |
 |
| Connect the Ice>Link cable to
the CD Changer connectors.
I wrapped up the connectors using the
existing foam wrap that the connectors were already in. I then
wrapped some fresh electrical tape around it. |
 |
| Tuck the wrapped connectors
into the side well located under the rear passenger arm rest. |
 |
| Replace the side bolster.
Notice how the bottom clip needs to slide down into place before
you press the top retaining clip back into the rectangular hole. |
 |
| Here is a close-up shot of
the top retaining clip. |
 |
| Tuck the Ice>Link cable under
the rear seat carpet.
The yellow line shows approximately where
I tucked mine. |
 |
| Continue to tuck the cable
under the side molding and then under the door sill. |
 |
| Continue tucking the cable
under the door sill as deep as you can with your fingertips and
run the cable up under the front passenger footwell area. |
 |
| Keep tucking the cable under
the footwell area. |
 |
| Connect the included iPod
cable to the Ice>Link adapter. Tuck it all under the footwell.
Feed the iPod cable into the glovebox as
shown. I used a 3M Command clip to hold the cable in place and
to keep it from sagging. |
 |
| Connect the cable to your
iPod and then follow the Dension Installation Guide on
configuring your Ice>Link. I hope
this guide was helpful! |
